Product Description

The vintage had perfect growing conditions for the entire spring and summer. We had small events of rainfall at the idyllic time, which allowed for really good growing conditions and great fruit development. The wine was processed in small batches in open-top fermenters, with heading down and with small amounts of whole-bunch fermentation. This allowed for the gentle extraction of the desirable flavours and structural components evident in this wine. The fermentation took between 6 and 9 days on skins prior to pressing off to barrel for malolactic fermentation. The Shiraz is then aged for 12-16 months in oak with minimal intervention prior to bottling.

TASTING NOTES

The Taltarni T Series Shiraz shows cherry and raspberry with white pepper and peach. On the palate, it delivers a medium body of supple tannins and luscious fruit with what seems to be an endless finish.
