Region and Vintage Conditions

The grapes come from Coonawarra, a region recognised for its terra rossa soils and cool climate, both ideal for producing structured, flavourful reds. The 2021 vintage was excellent. Plenty of sunlight and warm autumn days allowed the fruit to ripen slowly and evenly. These conditions helped the moderately cropping vines deliver Shiraz with excellent colour, strong fruit concentration and natural balance.

Winemaking

The wine is crafted to preserve the natural generosity of the Shiraz fruit. Oak ageing adds toasty, chocolate and spice elements while keeping the style clean and polished. The aim is to create a Shiraz that is full in flavour with a refined structure and soft, supple tannins.

Appearance: Deepest purple with near-black depth and rich plum hues.

Aroma: Cherry and plum supported by toasty oak, spice and gentle chocolate notes.

Palate: Elegant full fruit flavours with silky soft tannins. The structure is complex yet smooth, with supple fruit and well-integrated oak creating a balanced, satisfying finish.

Finish: Warm, smooth and lingering with ripe fruit and subtle spice.
