Primo Estate Wines

The unique character of Primo Estate is defined by the combination of modern Australian ingenuity with Grilli family's Italian heritage. Primo Grilli, who migrated to Australia from Italy with family, set up this estate in 1953. He handed over the winery to his sons Joe and Peter in 1979. Joe and his wife Dina took over the operations of the entire estate in 1985. Their combined efforts, passion and love for winemaking has have led to Primo Estate becoming one of the world's most unique wine-making centres. Primo Estate headquarters are based in McLaren Vale, comprising a cellar door and a tasting room.
