Ferngrove Frankland River Merlot

Ferngrove Frankland River Merlot is a top of the line medium-bodied red wine which is currently gaining popularity among the well-loved single varietal red wines. High quality Merlot grapes are picked during the subtle warmth of early morning. Fresh harvests are carefully transported to the facilities and crushed. After this, the wine is matured in a combination of one and two-year-old barrels for one and a half years.

Ferngrove Frankland River Merlot has a plush crimson-purple colour that is attractive to the eye. Fragrant aromas of dusty blackberry, juicy plums, fresh mulberry, sweet raspberry, and mild notes of violet fill the wine’s bouquet. Characters of classic vanilla, liquorice and dark plums are finished by fine beaded tannins and integrated oak to a soft and elegant finale.

Ferngrove Merlot is best served at a temperature of 18°C. This wine may be enjoyed now yet will reward to a fuller and matured Merlot characters within 8 years of careful cellaring.
