Nannup Ridge Estate Wines was first founded in 1998 when the Fitzgerald family secured a historic property 7km south-east of the Nannup township in Western Australia's South West, originally intending to supply premium grapes to Houghton Wine Company. In 2008, the family pivoted to producing wines under their own label a decision that paid off immediately, with four gold medals, ten minor medals, and two trophies awarded in the very first year of showing. Under master winemaker Bruce Dukes, named Best WA Winemaker by Wines of Australia in 2011, Nannup Ridge has grown into a celebrated boutique estate, with 70% of its harvest now supplied to major Western Australian wineries.
