How is it made? (Is it just juice?) No. To legally be called "alcohol-removed" or "de-alcoholised" wine, the liquid must start as fully fermented wine.

• The Process: Winemakers craft a standard wine (converting sugar to alcohol). Then, using vacuum distillation or spinning cone columns, they gently remove the alcohol at low temperatures.

• The Result: This preserves the delicate fruit esters and tannins that give wine its "grown-up" taste, unlike grape juice which is just unfermented sugar.
