Vineyards and Vintage Conditions

The 2020 Brightlands Shiraz is crafted from select parcels of fruit sourced from Angove’s prized McLaren Vale vineyards. The region’s Mediterranean climate, with warm, dry summers and cool, wet winters, provides ideal conditions for Shiraz cultivation. The 2020 vintage benefited from excellent growing conditions, allowing the grapes to reach optimal ripeness and develop complex flavours.

Winemaking

The grapes were vinified using traditional techniques to preserve varietal character. Fermentation took place in small open fermenters with regular hand plunging to extract colour and tannins. Post-fermentation, the wine was matured in a combination of French and American oak barrels, enhancing structure and imparting subtle oak nuances. The final wine is balanced, elegant, and a true reflection of Angove’s craftsmanship.
