Founded in 1886, Angove Family Winemakers is one of Australia’s oldest family-owned wineries. Vineyards & Vintage Conditions

Fruit for the 2021 Chardonnay was sourced from select vineyards across South Australia’s Riverland, an area celebrated for its consistent sunshine and fertile soils along the Murray River. The 2021 season enjoyed a mild spring and a warm, dry summer, allowing for gradual ripening and the development of bright fruit flavours while retaining natural acidity. Careful canopy management ensured optimal balance between fruit concentration and freshness.

Winemaking

Fruit was harvested during the cool early hours to preserve natural freshness. Fermentation took place mostly in stainless steel to protect delicate aromatics, with a small portion matured in French oak to add subtle complexity and texture.
