Aphelion is a boutique McLaren Vale winery renowned for its small-batch, handcrafted wines that bring clarity and elegance to classic southern Rhône varieties. The Affinity is a flagship blend of Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Shiraz—crafted to highlight harmony, balance, and regional expression.

Vineyards and Vintage Conditions
The 2021 vintage in McLaren Vale was exceptional, with mild weather and an extended ripening period delivering fruit of outstanding quality. Old-vine Grenache provided lift and perfume, Mourvèdre added savoury depth, and Shiraz contributed richness and structure.

Winemaking Process
Each variety was hand-harvested, fermented separately with wild yeasts, and matured in seasoned French oak before blending. Minimal intervention techniques preserved purity of fruit and allowed the final wine to express balance and finesse.
