Vineyards and Vintage Conditions

The 2022 vintage in the Hunter Valley was marked by a mild summer and moderate rainfall, resulting in slower ripening and vibrant flavour development. The region’s well-drained soils and consistent breezes ensured healthy fruit, producing Shiraz with fine tannins and lifted aromatics.

Winemaking Process

Fruit was handpicked at optimal ripeness and fermented in small open vats with regular hand plunging for gentle extraction. After fermentation, the wine matured for 12 months in a combination of French and American oak hogsheads, balancing fruit intensity with subtle oak influence.

Deep crimson hue. Aromas of blackberry, dark cherry, and black pepper with hints of cedar and spice. The palate is medium-bodied yet concentrated, showing ripe dark fruits, peppery spice, and fine, silky tannins, leading to a long, savoury finish.
