WINERY INFORMATION:
Machine harvested, crushed and chilled to tanker in McLaren Vale. Vinomatic fermentation in the Hunter. Not overly rotated, as soft tannins are required. Oak maturation 20% American and 80% French. The latter mostly new and 1 year old.
TASTING NOTES:
Great colour with bright purple tints and deep density. Lifted Christmas cake aromas enhanced with background oak. Medium weight palate with spice and dark fruit flavours. Lovely ripe balanced tannins. Tell-tale pastille black jube fruit characters with a long finish. Drinking well now but will reward with medium to long term cellaring. Enjoy with Beef.
