Product Description

Bruno Rocca is a respected family estate in Piedmont, with vineyards spread across some of the most recognised areas of Barbaresco. The Currà vineyard is located in Neive, where the estate produces a distinctive expression of Nebbiolo shaped by clay-limestone soils, Sant'Agata marl and sandstone.

Vintage Conditions

The 2021 vintage benefited from a warm, dry summer following a cooler spring. The growing season allowed the grapes to develop excellent ripeness while retaining freshness, resulting in a Barbaresco with concentration, structure and aromatic complexity. The harvest took place mainly in September under favourable conditions.

Winemaking Techniques

Currà is made from 100% Nebbiolo sourced from the Cru Currà vineyard in Neive. Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks for approximately 20 to 25 days, followed by maturation in French oak barriques for around 14 to 16 months.

Tasting Notes

Appearance: Intense ruby red with garnet reflections

Aroma: Ripe red berries, raspberry, black cherry, rose and subtle spice, with hints of tobacco, truffle and earthy character

Palate: Full-bodied and refined, combining vibrant acidity with polished, structured tannins and concentrated fruit

Finish: Long and persistent, with savoury, mineral and earthy nuances
