Product Description
Bruno Rocca is a renowned family estate in Barbaresco, Piedmont, with a history of winemaking closely connected to the Rabajà cru. Today, the 15-hectare estate is run by Bruno Rocca alongside his children, Francesco and Luisa. The winery is particularly known for producing expressive Barbaresco wines that combine the intensity of Nebbiolo with the elegance and structure of the Langhe terroir.
Vintage Conditions
The 2021 vintage began with heavy snowfall and a cool, windy spring that slowed early growth. Summer conditions were largely stable, with harvest beginning in early October and finishing on October 13. The vintage produced wines with excellent fruit character, structure and freshness, making 2021 a particularly strong year for Barbaresco.
Winemaking Techniques
Made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes from the prestigious Rabajà vineyard, the grapes were hand harvested and carefully selected before being destemmed and gently pressed. Fermentation took place in stainless-steel tanks, with individual parcels vinified separately for around 20 to 25 days. The wine was then matured in French oak casks for approximately 14 to 16 months before blending and bottling.
