Bruno Rocca is a family-run estate rooted in the Barbaresco hills of Piedmont. The family has been connected with the Rabajà area since the late 1950s, while Bruno Rocca began bottling wine under his own name in 1978. The estate is particularly recognised for expressive Nebbiolo wines that reflect the character of their individual vineyard sites.

Vintage Conditions

The 2023 vintage produced a balanced and expressive Barbaresco, with the Nebbiolo showing both ripe fruit character and freshness. The wine combines the concentration expected from the vintage with the aromatic lift and structure associated with the Rabajà vineyard.

Winemaking Techniques

Made from 100% Nebbiolo, the grapes are hand harvested and carefully selected before fermentation in stainless-steel tanks. The wine undergoes approximately 20 to 25 days of maceration on the skins before being matured in French oak barriques. The 2023 release is aged for approximately 16 months in barrique followed by around 10 months in bottle.

Appearance: Bright ruby red

Aroma: Pomegranate, dried rose, delicate spices, propolis, fern and subtle eucalyptus

Palate: Powerful yet smooth and balanced, with ripe red fruit, vibrant acidity and refined tannins

Finish: Long, savoury and persistent, with lingering spice and mineral notes
