Product Description

Bruno Rocca is a respected family estate in Piedmont, producing finely structured wines from distinctive Barbaresco vineyard sites. The Currà Riserva comes from mature vines in the Currà vineyard, where clay-limestone soils contribute to the wine's combination of power, freshness and mineral complexity.

Vintage Conditions

The 2019 vintage experienced a varied growing season, including a very warm June followed by storms in July. Favourable conditions in August and September allowed Nebbiolo to reach excellent ripeness while retaining acidity and developing strong phenolic complexity.

Winemaking Techniques

The grapes were hand harvested and carefully selected both in the vineyard and at the winery. Fermentation took place in wooden casks over approximately 40 to 45 days before the wine was matured in French oak casks for around 14 to 16 months.

Tasting Notes

Appearance: Deep garnet red with bright ruby reflections

Aroma: Fresh cherry and raspberry layered with dried rose, violet, spice and liquorice, alongside subtle mineral and saline notes

Palate: Powerful yet elegant, with concentrated red fruit, fresh acidity and tight, silky tannins

Finish: Exceptionally long, with persistent balsamic, mineral and floral nuances
