Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs is Taittinger's prestigious Chardonnay cuvée, created only in exceptional vintages. First produced in 1952, it represents the house's pursuit of precision, elegance and expression of the chalk-rich Grand Cru vineyards of the Côte des Blancs.

Vintage Conditions

The 2014 growing season was marked by a mild winter, a dry and sunny spring and a cooler summer with significant rainfall. The chalky soils of the Côte des Blancs provided excellent drainage and helped moderate the conditions, allowing the Chardonnay to develop freshness, balance and mineral character.

Winemaking Techniques

Made exclusively from 100% Chardonnay sourced from Grand Cru vineyards in the Côte des Blancs, the wine is crafted to preserve the purity and precision of the variety. Extended ageing in the cellars allows the fine mousse to develop while adding layers of texture and aromatic complexity.

Appearance: Brilliant pale gold with subtle silver reflections and exceptionally fine bubbles

Aroma: Citrus fruits, white flowers and white fruits with delicate notes of brioche, almond and aromatic herbs
