Folies de la Marquetterie is Taittinger's estate cuvée, created at the historic Château de la Marquetterie, the birthplace of the family's Champagne story. Made exclusively from grapes grown on the estate vineyards, the wine offers a richer, more powerful expression of the Taittinger style.

Vintage Conditions

As a non-vintage Champagne, Folies de la Marquetterie combines wines from different harvests to maintain its distinctive house character. The focus is on ripe fruit, richness and depth, balanced by the freshness needed to keep the wine precise and lively.

Winemaking Techniques

The cuvée is made from 55% Pinot Noir and 45% Chardonnay. Grapes are harvested from selected estate plots and vinified separately, with around 30% of the wine matured in large oak casks. The finished Champagne is aged for approximately five years in the cellar, allowing its fruit, texture and oak character to integrate.

Appearance: Deep yellow with golden highlights and fine, delicate bubbles

Aroma: Intense and fruity, with yellow peach, apricot compote, toasted brioche and subtle vanilla

Palate: Generous, smooth and full-bodied, led by ripe yellow peach with a rich, rounded texture

Finish: Long and expressive, with delicate woody notes from its oak maturation
