Vintage Conditions

Prélude Grands Crus is a non-vintage Champagne, allowing Taittinger to blend wines from different harvests to create a consistent house expression. Extended cellar maturation adds complexity and texture while preserving the wine's characteristic freshness and balance.

Winemaking Techniques

The cuvée combines 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir sourced exclusively from Grand Cru classified vineyards. Taittinger uses only first-press wines for Prélude, followed by more than five years of cellar ageing. This extended maturation contributes to the wine's fine mousse, layered aromatics and rounded texture.
