Winery Background

Coppabella Vineyard is a family‑run estate in Tumbarumba, New South Wales, under the care of Jason and Alecia Brown. The Sirius label uses fruit from select high‑elevation blocks and represents the estate’s flagship Pinot Noir offering.

Vineyards and Vintage Conditions

The 2022 Sirius Pinot Noir comes from the vineyard’s top blocks planted to clones 777, MV6 and D5V12. Tumbarumba’s cool‑climate conditions with long ripening and significant day‑night temperature shifts, delivered intense varietal purity combined with balanced acidity and structure.

Winemaking Process

Grapes were hand‑harvested, partly fermented with indigenous yeast and subtle whole‑bunch inclusion. The wine matured for approximately 12 months in French barriques, with gentle lees stirring used to soften tannins and enhance texture without compromising freshness.

Tasting Notes

Bright ruby‑red in the glass with expressive aromas of cherry, plum, violet and subtle spice. On the palate it shows concentrated red and blue fruit layered with savoury notes. Fine, polished tannins support a long, elegant finish.

Food Pairing

Pairs beautifully with roast duck, grilled chicken, herbed mushroom dishes, and softer charcuterie. Its aromatic lift and refined structure also complement goat’s cheese and root‑vegetable fare.
