Vineyard

Martinborough enjoys a climate that is closely aligned with the famous cool climate regions of Burgundy, the Loire Valley and Marlborough. Martinborough is the driest and warmest part of the wider Wairarapa/Wellington region, particularly in the critical late summer and autumn period.

Winemaking

Based on the single vineyard philosophy of winemaking,Craggy Range was the first in the Southern Hemisphere to specialise in the production of single vineyard wines from the most prestigious winegrowing regions across New Zealand including Martinborough, Hawke’s Bay and Marlborough.

TASTING NOTES

Vibrant dark cherry colour. Beguiling aromatics of dark rose, ripe cherry, and a hint of freshly trampled dry pine needles. The wine unfolds seamlessly across the palate with the dense core of ripe red fruits made to feel lithe by lovely acidity and complex fine tannins befitting of the growing maturity of our Pinot Noir vines.
