Winery Background
Craggy Range, one of New Zealand’s most acclaimed producers, created Les Beaux Cailloux Chardonnay to showcase the stony soils of Gimblett Gravels and their ability to produce elegant, mineral-driven wines.

Vineyards and Vintage Conditions
The Chardonnay comes from carefully selected vineyard blocks with free-draining, gravelly soils. The 2022 season offered warm days and cool nights, ensuring balance between ripeness and natural acidity.

Winemaking Process
Hand-harvested grapes were whole-bunch pressed and fermented in French oak barriques. Partial malolactic fermentation and lees stirring added texture and complexity.

Tasting Notes
Bright straw-gold. Aromas of white peach, lemon curd, and subtle flint. The palate is layered, with stone fruit, citrus, and chalky minerality balanced by fine oak and a long finish.
