Vineyards & Vintage Conditions
Fruit for the 2022 Cabernet is drawn from Coonawarra, a region world-renowned for its “terra rossa” soils and ideal cool-climate conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2022 vintage offered a mild growing season with extended ripening, producing grapes with deep colour, concentrated flavour, and balanced tannins.

Winemaking
Harvested at optimal ripeness, the fruit was crushed and fermented on skins to extract maximum colour and flavour. A portion was matured in French oak to soften the tannins and add complexity, while the focus remained on preserving the fruit’s intensity and regional character.

Tasting Notes
Deep crimson in the glass. Aromas of blackcurrant, cassis, and ripe plum are layered with hints of cedar and spice. The palate is rich and full-bodied, showing dark berry fruits framed by fine tannins and a lingering finish that speaks of Coonawarra’s elegance.
