WINERY INFORMATION

d’Arenberg Wines was launched by owner and third generation winemaker, Francis Osborn, in 1959. He named the brand in the honour of his mother, Helen d’Arenberg. Inspired by his crimson and white striped school tie, he decided to add a red stripe to the wine label, in fond memory of his school days at Prince Alfred College. 

TASTING NOTES

Crafted using 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Merlot grapes, this spectacular The Stump Jump Cabernet Merlot shows a youthful purple colour accompanied by bright crimson highlights. This tempting Cab Merlot offers delicious aromas and flavours of mulberries, cassis and violets. These characters further combine with cedary notes and herbal undertones of mint and red capsicum. A fine layer of chalky tannins balances the sweetness of the palate, to provide a smooth mouthfeel. This stunning red blend culminates in a long and satisfying finale. It tastes great with barbecued beef, pepperoni pizza and Italian Bolognese sauce.
