Part of the La Bohème collection, this Cabernet Sauvignon reflects De Bortoli’s philosophy of crafting expressive, approachable wines from Yarra Valley fruit. The focus is on elegance and restraint, staying true to the region’s cool-climate style.

Vineyards and Vintage Conditions

Grapes were sourced from selected Yarra Valley sites known for well-structured, aromatic Cabernet. The 2022 season was cool and even, allowing for slow ripening and excellent flavour development with natural balance.

Winemaking Process

Fermented in small batches with a mix of whole berries and gentle extraction to retain freshness. Matured in a combination of seasoned and new French oak for around 8 months to enhance structure without overpowering the fruit.

Tasting Notes

Medium ruby in colour. Aromas of blackberry, cassis, and bay leaf, with hints of cedar and spice. The palate shows fine tannins, dark fruit, and savoury undertones, finishing with balance and lift.
