Winery Overview

Fowles Wine is a 100 % family-owned and operated winery situated in Victoria’s high-altitude Strathbogie Ranges. Their estate vineyards sit between 430 and 550 metres above sea level in ancient granite soils, giving the wines a distinct sense of place and cool-climate elegance.

Region and Vintage Conditions

This Sparkling Pinot Noir is sourced from those high-altitude vineyard blocks where cool nights and mild days help grapes maintain freshness, fine acidity and vibrant character. The style leans to a non-vintage cuvée to keep the fruit lively and consistent.

Winemaking

Made predominantly from Pinot Noir grapes, the base wine underwent gentle pressing to preserve bright fruit aromas. It was fermented in stainless steel to maintain freshness, followed by a secondary fermentation for fine bubble formation and a short time on lees for added texture and creaminess.

Tasting Notes

Appearance: Pale rosé-gold with a lively and persistent bead.

Aroma: Wild strawberries and cream, soft peach, a hint of brioche and subtle citrus zest.

Palate: Light-bodied, fresh and effervescent with red berry and stone fruit flavours, finished with a squeeze of citrus acidity for crispness.

Finish: Clean, lively and elegantly balanced with fruit and finesse.
