Vineyard

The Alea Riesling comes from a narrow corridor of hard red rock with poor, orangey, red loam topsoil. As the early fruit from the vineyard reminded Jeff of the great German Rieslings, he decided to take a very different approach to the creation of Alea. The aim was to make a wine generous, succulent and long.

TASTING NOTES

Lemon juice and lime pith aromatics. A generosity of lime juice flavours, a touch of sweetness on the back palate balanced by refreshingly powerful natural acidity. There are lemon juice and lime pith aromatics, a generosity of lime juice flavours, a touch of sweetness on the back palate balanced by refreshingly powerful natural acidity. It is a delicate, fine riesling suited to being consumed alongside some robust spicy flavours: stir-fried prawns with Asian vegetables, deep-fried calamari with a Thai salad, or mildly spicy Indian curries.
