Grosset Wines was founded in the year 1981 by award winning Australian winemaker, Jeffrey Grosset. The estate’s organically certified winery is situated in Auburn, a historic township in Clare Valley. The brand’s philosophy over the last 37 years has been to emphasize on fruit quality, and portray each vineyard at its finest. Grosset Wines was recognised as one of the world’s ‘2016 Top 100 Wineries’ by the Wine & Spirits magazine of USA.

TASTING NOTES

Grosset Nereus is an impressive blend of Shiraz grapes with a small quantity of Nero d'Avola grapes. The fruit was sourced from 3 private growers in the Clare Valley wine region. In a glass, the wine exhibits an attractive dark red colour. Briary fragrances emanate from the drink’s complex nose. This perfumed bouquet effortlessly makes way for a medium bodied and supple palate rich in brambly flavours. Savoury overtones add to this weighted palate, while a firm grip of tannins balances it. The finale is harmonious, and calls for another sip. Crafted for consumption upon release, this red wine can also be cellared for a medium term. Team it up with robust meat preparations for a delightful meal.
