Product Description
Managed by Stephen Henschke and his wife Prue, the history of the wine brand ‘Henschke’ goes back over 150 years. In 1862, Johann Christian Henschke purchased a piece of land in the North Rhine district, which was later renamed ‘Keyneton’. 6 years later, in 1868, Johann released his first commercial vintage. The brand is committed to the environment, and produces its wines from sustainable vineyards.
TASTING NOTES
Innes Vineyard Pinot Gris shows a pale straw colour. The perfumed nose exudes lifted aromas of nectarine, pear skin and ginger spice, with rose petal, pink grapefruit and musk undertones. A sip reveals concentrated flavours of stone fruit and nashi pear. The elegant palate is enhanced by creamy hints of crème brûlée and chestnut. These mouthwatering flavours are joined by balancing acidity and silky minerality, resulting in a textural and long finish. This aromatic white wine can be cellared for 10 or more years from vintage. Serve it with ricotta cheese, cashew chicken, or cheesecake stuffed strawberries.
