WINERY INFORMATION:

Henschke is a family owned wine company managed by fifth generation winemaker Stephen Henschke, with the support of his viticulturalist wife, Prue. The foundation of the company was laid down by Johann Christian Henschke, who purchased a piece of land in the North Rhine district of the Barossa Range, in 1862. He planted a small vineyard on the property with the help of his son, Paul Gotthard.

TASTING NOTES:

Peggy’s Hill Riesling features a pale green colour with bright gold highlights along the edges. Scintillating aromas of frangipani, jasmine and almond blossom enhance the perfumed nose, fusing with exhilarating lemon, musk, lime zest and stone fruit fragrances. A sip of this delightful Riesling reveals pleasing minerality, which infused with vibrant acidity, leads the soft and luscious palate to a long and focused finish. Age this white wine in the cellar for up to 2 decades for a more rewarding experience. Serve it alongside prawn salad with grilled asparagus, fresh peas and blood orange.
