Lambrook Wines is a boutique winery located in the cool-climate region of the Adelaide Hills, South Australia. The estate focuses on producing premium wines that express the unique terroir of the region. The Seed range represents the winery's commitment to crafting wines that showcase the purity and elegance of the Adelaide Hills.

Vineyard and Vintage Conditions

The 2024 Seed Chardonnay is sourced from select vineyards in the Adelaide Hills, known for their cool climate and high altitude. The cool growing season of 2024 allowed for slow ripening, preserving the natural acidity and delicate flavours of the Chardonnay grapes. The wine is produced in limited quantities, with only 1,200 dozen bottles made.

Winemaking

The grapes were machine-picked in the cool of the night to maintain freshness and acidity. They were then delicately tipped and pressed, with the juice transferred directly to French oak barrels for fermentation. Ten percent of the barrels were new, imparting subtle oak nuances to the wine. The wine underwent maturation in barrel to enhance texture and complexity.
