Casanovina Montosoli is one of Le Ragnaie's most distinguished single-vineyard Brunello expressions. The vineyard is located on the celebrated Montosoli hill, one of Montalcino's most renowned sites, where altitude, exposure and mineral-rich soils create Sangiovese with exceptional elegance, freshness and depth.

Vintage Conditions

The 2021 vintage was particularly successful for Brunello, producing wines with excellent concentration, freshness and structural balance. The vintage allowed the Casanovina Montosoli vineyard to express both the intensity of the fruit and the refined character associated with the Montosoli site.

Winemaking Techniques

Made from 100% Sangiovese, the grapes are carefully selected before traditional fermentation and maceration. The wine is matured in large oak casks, allowing the fruit, acidity and tannins to integrate while preserving the distinctive mineral and floral character of the vineyard.

Tasting Notes

Appearance: Medium ruby red with garnet reflections

Aroma: Black cherry, red berries and dusty rose with incense, cedar, spiced citrus and earthy mineral notes

Palate: Elegant and beautifully balanced, with silky texture, refreshing acidity, polished tannins and concentrated red fruit

Finish: Exceptionally long, dry and mineral-driven, with lingering wild berries, liquorice and floral notes
