Le Ragnaie is a respected Montalcino estate founded by Riccardo and Jennifer Campinoti, with a focus on expressing the character of high-altitude vineyards through traditional Tuscan winemaking. The estate farms its vineyards organically and produces Brunello with an emphasis on freshness, elegance and terroir.

Vintage Conditions

The 2021 vintage was particularly successful for Brunello di Montalcino, producing wines with vibrant fruit, freshness and excellent structural balance. The combination of warm growing conditions and well-preserved acidity resulted in expressive wines with considerable ageing potential.

Winemaking Techniques

Made from 100% Sangiovese, the grapes undergo spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts in traditional concrete vats. Extended maceration helps extract colour, flavour and tannin before the wine is matured for approximately 36 months in large Slavonian oak casks. This traditional approach preserves the purity of the Sangiovese while allowing the wine to develop complexity and refinement.

Aroma: Cherry, plum and violet with delicate notes of nutmeg, liquorice and dried herbs
