Region and Vintage Conditions
Sourced from estate vineyards in the Barossa Valley, the 2017 vintage benefited from a cool, extended growing season following a wet winter and mild summer. The slower ripening conditions allowed the fruit to develop excellent flavour concentration, natural acidity and refined tannins, resulting in wines with both power and elegance.

The Shiraz is grown on the Lienert family's estate vineyards in the western Barossa, where mature vines and carefully managed vineyards produce fruit with exceptional depth, balance and regional character. Sustainable vineyard practices and selective harvesting ensure every parcel reaches optimum ripeness before winemaking begins.

Winemaking
The grapes were fermented to maximise colour and flavour before spending time in seasoned French and American oak hogsheads. Careful oak maturation softened the tannins while adding subtle notes of vanilla and spice, allowing the generous Barossa fruit to remain the focus of the wine.

Tasting Notes
Appearance: Deep crimson with vibrant ruby hues.
Aroma: Blackberry, Black Doris plum and black cherry layered with violet, baking spice, dark chocolate and subtle oak.
Palate: Rich and full-bodied with concentrated dark berry fruit, savoury spice and mocha notes supported by polished tannins and a well-balanced structure.
Finish: Long, smooth and persistent with lingering dark fruit, spice and fine oak.
