Semillon on the other hand, is all about weight and viscosity, length and structure, and the more reserved character that lingers behind the scenes and holds the show together. In a Semillon Sauvignon Blanc (SSB), Semillon takes centre stage while Sav Blanc’s plentiful fruit lies underneath. Like any great performance, you can’t have one without the other. This noble blend aptly reflects the past, present and future of fine winemaking in Western Australia.

In the cool, southern reaches of Western Australia, Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon have had the time to develop varietal purity, intense flavour and structural exactness. From this gift of nature, the winemaker can with confidence enhance, embellish, and even temper the powerful, exotic and sometimes challenging expression to create a wine that is textured, layered and enriched.
