A blend led by Sangiovese and Syrah with small portions of Cabernet Sauvignon and Mataro, selected for balance, structure and depth.
Winemaking
Wild fermented on full skins in small batches, with Sangiovese fermented in tank and other varieties in open vats. After around two weeks on skins, the wine is pressed to aged 300L barrels for malolactic fermentation. Aged for 10 months in barrel, then bottled and aged for a further 18 months before release. Unfiltered.
Tasting Notes
Appearance: Deep ruby red.
Aroma: Dark cherry, plum and subtle floral notes.
Palate: Lush and velvety with red fruit, soft tannins and balanced structure.
Finish: Smooth with a gentle grip and lingering fruit.
