WINERY INFORMATION:

Moppity Vineyards produces an excellent range of handcrafted, single vineyard wines, sourced from the estate’s vineyard in Hilltops, southern NSW. Acquired by Jason and Alecia Brown in 2004, the estate has emerged as an internationally acclaimed company renowned for its award-winning wine portfolio. The estate was first planted in 1973 and covers a total of 170 acres of grapevines.

TASTING NOTES:

The luscious fruit used to produce this enticing Lock & Key Chardonnay was harvested from the estate-owned vineyard, with the free run juice being barrel fermented. The resulting wine showcases a pale yellow colour. The perfumed bouquet exudes mesmerising fruit scents. The long and elegant palate contains zesty flavours of citrus and lemon, coupled with cashew and toasty French oak undertones. These wonderful characters are supported by zingy acidity, culminating the wine in a delicate and lingering finish. This delicious Chardonnay from Moppity Vineyards tastes great with oysters Rockefeller, pan-fried crab cakes, and orange soufflé.
