Moppity Vineyards is a family‑run estate headed by Jason and Alecia Brown in the Hilltops and Tumbarumba regions of New South Wales. The Lock & Key collection provides reliably crisp, varietal wines that represent excellent quality for the price.

Vineyards and Vintage Conditions

The 2024 Riesling is made from grapes grown in elevated Hilltops sites, where cool nights and moderate ripening preserve natural acidity and lift citrus tones. Vineyards maintained low yields to ensure the resulting wine offers freshness and purity..

Winemaking Process

Fruit was whole-bunch pressed and cold‑fermented in stainless steel. The wine was allowed a short period on lees to develop texture, then filtered and bottled under screwcap to maintain its brisk clarity and freshness.

Tasting Notes

Bright pale straw in colour with aromas of lime zest, green apple, jasmine and lemon blossom lifted by a mineral edge. The palate is crisp with citrus and orchard fruits, firm acidity and a clean, chalky finish. It has energy, length and varietal purity.
