Moppity Vineyards is family‑run by Jason and Alecia Brown in the Hilltops and Tumbarumba regions of New South Wales. The Twelve Signs series highlights approachable single‑varietal wines. ‘Virgo’ Pinot Grigio delivers freshness and varietal purity with clarity and ease.

Vineyards and Vintage Conditions

This wine is made from fruit grown in cool‑climate vineyards across Hilltops. Moderate yields and well‑managed vines ensured concentrated flavour while retaining bright natural acidity. 2023 offered steady conditions that favoured crisp fruit.

Winemaking Process

After picking, grapes underwent cool stainless‑steel fermentation to preserve fresh aromatics. Lees contact was kept minimal to add a hint of texture without compromising crispness. The result is varietal‑driven and lively. 

Tasting Notes

Pale straw in colour with aromas of lemon peel and soft pear. The palate is taut and linear, framed by bright acidity; vibrant citrus and orchard fruit carry through to a long, clean finish.

Food Pairing

Pairs well with pork dishes, light seafood, goat’s cheese, fresh salads and lightly seasoned pasta. Its acidity and precision also suit fresh, herb-forward vegetarian meals.
