Located on the granite ridges of the Blackwood Valley in Western Australia, Nannup Ridge was established in 1998 on a 16-hectare site with exceptional soils and an elevated aspect. The estate is owned and run by the Fitzgerald brothers, and their winemaking is overseen by award-winning contract winemaker Bruce Dukes. The vineyard produces Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, and prides itself on crafting wines that reflect its unique terroir.

The 2020 vintage for this Cabernet Sauvignon comes from Nannup Ridge’s estate vineyards. The site enjoys long daylight hours for ripening and cooling night breezes which help maintain freshness and structure. Granite-loam soils support concentrated flavour while retaining natural acidity. These conditions resulted in Cabernet fruit that is ripe, expressive and well balanced.

Winemaking Techniques

This Cabernet Sauvignon is crafted to emphasise varietal strength and regional character, while maintaining elegance. After harvest, the fruit underwent gentle extraction to preserve aromatics and texture, then matured in selected oak to integrate flavours and tannins without overpowering the fruit. The finished wine offers both immediate appeal and the capacity for short-term ageing.
