Winery Background
Nanny Goat Vineyard, based in Central Otago, New Zealand, is renowned for producing expressive Pinot Noirs that reflect the rugged alpine terroir. The name comes from the wild goats that roam the mountainous landscape surrounding the vineyards.

Vineyards and Vintage Conditions
The 2022 vintage in Central Otago delivered a long, cool growing season, allowing for slow ripening and balanced flavour development. Fruit was sourced from premium vineyard blocks in Bannockburn and Bendigo.

Winemaking Process
Hand-harvested and sorted fruit underwent wild yeast fermentation with a portion of whole clusters for added complexity. The wine was matured in French oak barriques (approximately 40% new) for 12–14 months.

Tasting Notes
Deep garnet in colour. Aromas of dark cherry, plum, and violet, layered with hints of spice, clove, and forest floor. The palate is rich and concentrated, with silky tannins, dark berry fruit, and a lingering mineral finish.
