TASTING NOTES

Nautilus has been crafting the Marlborough Cuvee NV since 1989, thus making this wine a favourite in the local markets of New Zealand. A blend of 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay grapes, this wine was crafted in the traditional method by aging it on yeast lees for about 3 years, which paved the way for the development of biscuity and toasty flavours. Nautilus Estate Cuvee Brut NV displays a pale straw colour, and consists of a fine bead, creamy mousse and 12% alcohol level. The bouquet exhibits nutty aromas while the elegant palate features vibrant fruit flavours that mesh with the biscuity nuances, crisp acidity and yeast complexity to provide a dry and lingering climax. This wine is suitable for immediate consumption as well as aging under cork. Pairing it with parmesan wafers or fresh oysters is a great idea!
