Oliver’s Taranga is a sixth-generation family estate in McLaren Vale, led by Corrina Wright. The “Small Batch” series showcases handcrafted wines made from distinct blocks across the estate, each expressing both varietal character and the nuances of McLaren Vale terroir.

Vineyards and Vintage Conditions
The 2024 vintage benefited from a wet, cool spring followed by a dry, consistently warm growing season—ideal for Grenache to thrive. It was also the first vintage produced from the winery owned outright by the family partnership, marking a new era of onsite winemaking. The estate reports especially strong crops of Grenache this year.

Winemaking Process
This Small Batch Grenache comes from old bush vine blocks—some nearly 60 years old. The wine was crafted with care: part fermented in stainless steel, with the remainder aged in large oak casks and a concrete egg to enhance textural nuance and vibrancy. 

Tasting Notes
Bright cherry in color, the wine delights with aromas of dried florals, ripe forest berries, juniper, crushed rock, and a hint of Aperol. On the palate, it delivers vibrant red apple tang and sour cherry, wrapped in supple savoury tannins with accents of anise, cured meat, and floral echoes. It finishes long with youthful energy and freshness.
