WINERY INFORMATION

A reputed wine estate of Central Otago, Quartz Reef was founded in 1996 by wine pioneer Rudi Bauer in collaboration with John Perriam and Trevor Scott. The estate currently covers 30 hectares of vineyards at Bendigo Station. Known as ‘The House of Pinot’, the team here produces premium Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Pinot Chardonnay wines.

TASTING NOTES

This marvellous Pinot Noir features a deep ruby red colour. The attractive bouquet is perfumed with aromatic herbs, making way for a robust and concentrated palate filled with ripe plum, nutty oak and spice flavours. The aromas and flavours are supported by powerful tannins, to provide an elegant texture and a refreshing finish. This wonderful Pinot Noir has the potential to be cellared for 7 to 10 years. It tastes excellent with foods like lentil bruschetta, oven baked salmon filets and casseroles.
