Reschke Wines is a family-owned producer with more than a century of history in Coonawarra. Drawing on estate-grown fruit from the region's iconic terra rossa soils, the winery is recognised for crafting Cabernet Sauvignon that reflects the elegance, structure and longevity for which Coonawarra is renowned.

Region & Vintage Conditions

The 2021 vintage is produced from estate vineyards in Coonawarra, where terra rossa soils over limestone and a cool maritime climate create ideal conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon. The long growing season allowed the fruit to ripen evenly, resulting in excellent concentration, vibrant fruit expression and refined tannin structure.

Winemaking Techniques

Following fermentation, the wine was matured in French oak to enhance complexity while maintaining the purity of the fruit. Careful oak integration contributes subtle spice, texture and structure without overpowering the varietal character.

Tasting Notes

Appearance: Deep ruby red with vibrant crimson hues.

Aroma: Fragrant aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry and cassis layered with cedar, mint, dark chocolate and subtle spice.

Palate: Full-bodied and beautifully balanced, showcasing rich blackcurrant, mulberry and juicy plum flavours complemented by fine-grained tannins and well-integrated French oak.

Finish: Long, elegant and persistent, with lingering dark fruit, gentle spice and classic Coonawarra savoury notes.
