Vineyards and Vintage Conditions
The 2022 vintage in Mudgee was marked by a mild growing season with cool nights and moderate days, ideal for slow ripening. This allowed the Shiraz fruit to develop depth, spice, and richness while retaining balance and freshness.

Winemaking Process
Hand-harvested fruit was fermented in small batches to ensure gentle extraction of colour and tannin. The wine was then matured in a mix of French and American oak, imparting complexity and a fine balance between vibrant fruit and savoury spice.

Tasting Notes
Deep crimson in the glass. Aromas of dark plum, blackberry, and black cherry are lifted by hints of pepper, cocoa, and vanilla spice. The palate is full-bodied yet elegant, with layers of ripe fruit, supple tannins, and a lingering finish marked by chocolate and subtle oak.

Food Pairing
An excellent match with slow-cooked lamb, beef brisket, venison, or hearty pasta dishes. Its richness also pairs beautifully with aged hard cheeses.
