WINERY INFORMATION

Renowned for crafting an outstanding range of fresh, well balanced and regional wines, Rutherglen Estates was started by a group of ardent wine professionals in 1996. The company owns a total of 185ha of vineyards, managed by viticulturist Matthew Partridge. Spread across 518 hectares of land, the estate presently processes nearly 2000 tonnes of grapes every year in its state-of-the-art winery. The construction of the winery was completed in 2001.

TASTING NOTES

Rutherglen Estates Tempranillo displays a ruby red colour. The aromatic bouquet exudes vibrant scents of warm spices, tobacco and crushed red fruits. The luscious palate is rife with flavours of berries, supported by grainy tannins. These flavours and fragrances fuse together, culminating the wine in a mouth filling finish marked by cherry compote notes. This delicious Tempranillo has been crafted to be cellared for 5 years. Pair it with grilled lamb skewers with fennel and parsley quinoa, or traditional Spanish paella, to unveil its real fruit potential.
