WINERY INFORMATION:

Shaw + Smith was established with the vision to make exciting and refined wines exclusively from Adelaide Hills that rank amongst the best wines of Australia. It is the brainchild of cousins Martin Shaw and Michael Hill Smith, both of whom had wanted to start manufacturing and selling wine together for a long time. They finally realized their dream in 1989, after having a long Sunday lunch and deciding to pursue their goal.

TASTING NOTES:

M3 Chardonnay from Shaw + Smith is a beautiful, pale yellow hued wine that consists of a complex bout giving off apple, lemon, biscuit and white peach fragrances. The luscious palate features the classic elegance of M3 wines and juicy fruit flavours balanced by the crisp acidity, leading to a creamy and persistent finish. The wine can either be consumed upon release or be cellared for a decade. Grilled King George Whiting with caper butter sauce is a great food match to this Chardonnay varietal.
