Vineyards and Vintage Conditions
The 2023 vintage in Hawke’s Bay offered excellent conditions for Syrah, with warm days and cool evenings allowing slow, even ripening. This balance delivered vibrant aromatics, ripe fruit expression, and refined tannin structure—hallmarks of the region’s world-class Syrah.

Winemaking Process
Hand-harvested fruit was destemmed and fermented in small open-top vats with gentle plunging for colour and flavour extraction. Maturation in French oak barriques for several months added subtle spice and complexity while preserving freshness and purity.

Tasting Notes
Deep ruby-purple in the glass. Aromas of dark cherry, blackberry, and blueberry are accented by white pepper, violets, and spice. The palate is medium-bodied and silky, showcasing juicy dark fruits, savoury spice, and supple tannins, finishing long and elegant.
