Toorak Winery is based in Leeton, in the heart of the Riverina, NSW, and has more than 50 years of winemaking experience. The winery produces a range of Australian wines across labels including Willandra Estate, Willandra Leeton Selection and Toorak Road. Its warm Riverina climate is known for producing wines with rich aromas and intense varietal fruit characteristics.

The Zane Hills Shiraz is made in a style that lets the natural richness of Shiraz come through, combining ripe dark fruit with gentle spice and a smooth, rounded palate.

Region and Vintage Conditions

The 2020 vintage produced Shiraz with good concentration and ripe fruit character. The fruit for this wine has been selected to create a full-flavoured red with the balance needed to keep the wine smooth and approachable.

The result is a Shiraz with generous fruit intensity, soft structure and the warmth and richness expected from the variety.

Winemaking Techniques

The fruit was harvested at optimum ripeness to capture the variety's natural fruit character. Careful fermentation helped extract colour and flavour while maintaining balance, followed by maturation designed to soften the tannins and bring the different components of the wine together.
