Region & Vintage
McLaren Vale is one of Australia’s leading Cabernet Sauvignon regions, prized for its Mediterranean climate, cooling sea breezes, and diverse soils that give Cabernet intensity and structure with plush fruit expression. The 2023 vintage was excellent, with moderate conditions delivering wines of balance, freshness, and great varietal purity.

Winemaking
Small parcels of fruit were fermented separately in open fermenters, with gentle pump-overs to extract colour and flavour. After fermentation, the wine was matured in French oak hogsheads and barriques, a portion new, adding subtle spice and savoury notes without overwhelming the fruit.

Tasting Notes
Deep crimson with purple edges. Aromas of cassis, black cherry, and mulberry are accented by hints of violet, mint, and cedar. The palate is medium to full-bodied, layered with ripe black fruits, fine tannins, and notes of dark chocolate and tobacco. The finish is long, smooth, and elegant, showcasing both power and polish.

Excellent alongside chargrilled steak, slow-roasted lamb, rich pasta dishes, or aged cheddar.
